Rollercoasters and Alton Towers

I'm getting excited because alton towers re-opens next week! I love it. Went twice last year. The Black Hole is closing forever, and a new ride called Rita, Queen of Speed is opening. My favourite rides are Air and Nemesis. Oblivion is too scary..only been on it once and kept my eyes shut the whole time, practically hyperventilating!

What's the best rollercoaster you have been on? I also like the Pepsi max big one in Blackpool.

Has anyone stayed in the alton towers hotel?

What's the best theme park in the UK?

Went last year and Q'd for like 2 hours to go on Air and it lasted like 30 seconds. Wasnt amused.

You're not lucky. I never q'd more than 30 minutes, but I didn't go in peak season. I went once in April, and once in September.

when i went on air we did the virtual queing it was good we just jumped the q and got straight on. i never got to go on the black hole sadly. and i chickened out of oblivion but i love nemesis and air

Oblivion is a must do experience, have to go on that every time i go. It doesn't last long at all, but its a laugh. Really isn't that bad.

Nemesis is a good rollercoaster, although can be a bit boring sometimes.

The big one is a brill coaster, being able to see all of blackpool while doing 90 is ace.

Much more of a fan of things like Spin doctor though, although a week and 4 days until i'm in America doing all the proper coasters

My favourite theme is Blackpool. Does anyone know if they repaired the Grand National after the fire. I love the Big One at Blackpool. I've only been to Alton Towers once gonna try and go this summer. I remember American Adventure being good, but I wasd only a kid when I went.

Ugh. Never again. 6 hours by coach there and 6 hours back again. 3 fucking rides. 3! Queued for like 1 hour and a half for each. Never even got near Air.

went on all the rollercoasters at alton towers and just couldnt get enough of them.....air and nemesis were clearly the best

I used to love nemesis, but it's like a lot of things - once you've been on it a few times it gets boring!

The big one by far
and the pleasure beach by even further

edited to add airs the best at alton towers oblivion was alright would of been better if it hadnt of broken down at the top :|

Stoke City is not the pride of Staffordshire. Alton Towers is. At least twice a year, every year. It's a shame they have closed Black Hole down as it was very underrated, especially as it was "that one" next to Oblivion.

i really liked it, even if i did end up a bit battered by the end as it was a bit shaky and cos it was pitch black, you couldn't brace yourself for any of the turns/sharp dips!

i've never been to alton towers

been to very few theme parks in fact. i've been to dreighton manor and oakwood, and that's about it
