Mother's Day

Has everyone been planning ahead for Mothers Day (Sunday the 21st, btw!), or is it a last minute thing every year? What's has everyone bought for their dearest darling mothers this year?

I think I'm going down the traditional flowers and perfume route... well, not actually the perfume, but the body lotion and bath/shower gel that goes with it, but is difficult to find - three search engines and £22, and all for one bottle of bubble bath!

I think I might actually make a cake as a surprise while she's at work on Saturday - might go the whole way and ice it properly and everything!


Anyone would have thought a £130 phone bill had arrived this morning...

I'm making my mum a coffee cake with walnuts (yum!) and buying her Evita

personally I don't like mothers or fathers day because we kids don't have a day dedicated to us! no fair!

I'm gonna get her a boquet of flowers delivered, Thornton's choccies and a CD

Or a gift voucher at a beauty salon, she's always saying she wants to do summat in one but never gets the money to, bless.

Nothing much. Just one of them cute 'Me to you' bears, a special mothers day one

And a little book full of nice stuff saying about happiness, how special mothers are etc...My mummy likes to feel special.

And then we're all (me, my 2 sisters and my brother) are taking her (and my dad) out for lunch/dinner.

I got her a cheeky card but I shall make up for it by making her a very nice fry ( grill) up on Sunday morning and being nice to her all day.

i usually get her a nice card (or make one) and a bunch of flowers. she's quite happy with that. she just likes to feel remembered (my brother always forgets).

NOPE! I remember when i was about 7 my grandmother blowing the yolk out of some eggs and us painting them, think it was an attempt to bring religion to our heathen lives!!

Mothers day is just another day for me to tell my mum I love her but it's no different to all the others!

But this year cos i want my mum to feel special after the year we've had, ive ordered a big bouquet (sp?) of flowers which should hopefully arrive on saturday... and im just gonna spoil her rotten all day

i did want to at least go home and visit my mum but the basturds decided to make me work sunday 12-4.

and cus i'll be waitering. everyone will take their mum out for mothers day and it will all be the same meal all day cus there is a mother day special. its going to be so busy and fun. and now we don't get tips cus the tills are down, loads..

someones been stealing from the tills and i'm going to fuck them up cus i didn't get my share of tips from last saturday. there was fuckin loads as well....

I'm kinda into makin cards at the mo, and since she sacked me (grrrrr) she'll be gettin a card. She knows I love her. I might manage a box of her fave choccies (lindt lindor) as well, If i ghet paid before then! My grandmas comin round and for the first time eva (coz Im nearly 16) Im allowed out when she comes round YAY! I'm goin to a m8s party, so I've kinda gotta budget for that aswell.....sooo skint lol!

I have bought her a dog teddy keyring carrying a heart, her fave perfume and im painting her a picture which is nearly done but has taken me nearly a week
