design/publishing industries...

...is designing books and magazines and stuff, is it not?

anyone know any websites where i can look into this route more, i'm studying photography but i may go into that area and want to be sure of what i am getting myself into...

Yes design in publishing industries does usually mean designing book covers, fonts, magazine layouts etc. Do you subscribe to Design Week? I've noticed the website has lots of stuff about editorial design.
