Marbella / Malaga

What's it like, anyone been?

Saw this pic on the net and thought, that looks nice, wouldn't mind going there for a visit.

Sea on one side and moutains behind, would love to live in a place that looked a bit like that.

I've not been to Marbella but have been to Malaga and Torremolinos. Not recommended to be honest.

You should go to Granada, that is really beautiful and non touristy.

Malaga is pretty cool as well. The nearest thing to a bit town they have on the Costa del sol. There are some good shops and clubs in Malaga.

Marbella is tops, full of fancy shops and restaurants, but like others have said it will cost you!

Gibraltar is worth a look if you haven't been before, personally after stocking up on cheap booze and fags and having a look at the monkeys I was bored. There isn't that much to do.

'Tis indeed gorgeous. I went last year with my friends and we had a bloody awesome time. Is a bit pricey, especially if you go to places like Puerto Banus with all the millionaires and their yachts. But it's a good place to go, and as others have said, there's other towns and countries nearby which gives you alot to do. We went on a half hour boat trip to Morroco when we went!

What's an example of pricey?

Hotel / drinks?

Priciest place I ever went to was Sweden.

Is it suitable for 20 / 30 age group or most people retired?

If you thought Sweden was expensive you should try Norway! They head to Sweden for their shopping because its that much cheaper!

Back on topic- I'm going to Fuengirola for a week in May. It's just along the coast from Marbella. It was the cheapest deal we could get so if it turns out well then I'll be happy!

But it's worth it for the monkeys alone.... Saw a monkey steal an unopened bag of Haribo from a girl's bag, run off, open it, and eat it......you can't BUY entertainment like that!!

That would have been funny. I hope it wasn't the Sour Mix, they are my favorite.
